The Position: Solution Architect SAP BW, HANA BOBJ Role: Solution Architect The Project: Canadian Pacific is hiring an experienced SAP BW solution Architect for designing and delivering the Merger and Acquisition data Integration needs. This Candidate will participate in developing business intelligence solutions that collect, analyze, and present information to the business, and subsequently develop the solution to address the business requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The candidate should possess hands-on experience in development of SAP BW HANA, HANA Data Model Design, HANA Landscape Transformation Replication Server (SLT) Configuration, visualization tools development such as Business Object Webi, Analysis for Office, SAP Lumira/SAP Analytics. Work closely with business functions to understand and define system requirements, recommend SAP BW HANA technical solutions to meet business needs. Evaluate the current SAP BW HANA system capabilities to identify changes and determine the impact on the business. Develop technical specifications/detailed design for BW HANA Technical Development of Data Modeling, HANA Calculation Views in Control Reports.

Develop backend Bex Queries, Composite Providers in SAP BW HANA Design & develop frontend visualization tools and dashboards using Business Objects WEBI, SAP Lumira/SAP Analytics on Cloud Develop SAP HANA data model using ADSO, and Calculation View Develop and enhance BW objects such as InfoObjects, InfoCubes, Insources/Data Sources, Master Data, Transformations, Update Rules, DSO, Extractors, Infosets, Aggregates, Process Chains, DTPs, User Exits, BADI and HANA objects like Schemas, Calculated, Analytical or Scripted Views using HANA Modeller. Lead the solution design, development and implementation of SAP BW HANA & Cloud solutions. Lead SAP HANA data modeling efforts and provide hands-on technical expertise on overall architecture, technical design, configuration, development, and implementation of the SAP BI/BW and NATIVE HANA solutions. Serve as the Technical Owner and point of contact for approving the BW future state technical architecture of data models, reports for BW HANA specific solutions across projects.

Coordinate communicating technical changes regarding BW HANA Analytics Solution Architecture & Design across business functions & projects. Oversee the delivery of BW HANA technical solutions by leading project teams in a matrix environment. Determine the BW architectural standards and right data ingestion approach from disparate source applications using different real time and batch enabling technologies into Native HANA. Develop and maintain the strategy for consolidating data for analytical applications and create conceptual and logical data models ensuring that uniformly recognized and accepted data definitions are developed and applied throughout the BW Solution Architecture.

Mentor a team of junior HANA BW resources in the team, participate in sharing expertise on HANA, and be willing to drive HANA growth initiatives internally within IS/IT function. Performance measures Deliver On time, on schedule delivery of assigned SAP BW HANA projects Consistently improve SAP BW HANA practices and implementations. Drive adoption in the BW HANA space for greater utilization across business functions. Ensure BW Solutions delivered are able to fit for purpose and meets business requirements Drive evaluations and recommendations of new SAP BW solutions/technologies.
