Enable Health LOB strategy formation
Scan and analyze trends/changes in Health industry, general insurance industry, competition, distribution channels and their impact on Health Insurance business; Study new players and segments emerging in the Health Industry (e.g. EV)
Discuss and analyze inputs from product development, underwriting, etc. on government policies, changes in regulations from IRDA, etc. to assess impact on various channels’ business
Explore and share perspective on evolving and high impact areas in Health Insurance Industry such as related changing government policies, regulations, etc.
Contribute to strategy formulation and annual operating business planning with Finance and Channel Head for Health LOB across channels.
Identify new areas/prospects for growth in Health Insurance industry, geographic spread, products and new acquisitions to create growth opportunities and increase profitability for Health insurance business
Health LOB Business review
Lead interactions with all Channel Heads such as Agency etc
Share intelligence and perspective on competition and market with respective Region Heads to drive business topline and bottom-line
Review the Health insurance business for the individual channels, identify gaps and areas of opportunities for driving growth of Health Insurance business and acquire their share of channel for the Health Insurance business
Participate in channel wise Health insurance business reviews, generate and share ideas to drive alignment with strategic priorities, business results and achieve topline and bottom-line
Relationship development and management
Build and manage relationships and tie ups with Key Agents & Advisors/ top leadership of Agents & Advisors; Engage with Agents & Advisors for increasing their share of business conducted with BAGIC
Identify and develop new Agents & Advisors for business expansion which have potential to increase market penetration and customer coverage
Strengthen business relationships with existing Agents/ Advisors to establish top of mind recall, deliver better than competition, drive high sales and sustainable repeat business
Resolve operational issues faced by the Agents/ Advisors to ensure smooth experience while working with BAGIC
Business Development in Vistaar Locations
Establish, nurture and responsible for expansion and growth of Vistaar locations.
Manage existing relationships and build new relationship with Agents; identify more business opportunities within the Vistaar locations to drive sales and ensure achievement of revenue for Health insurance Business for Vistaar locations pan India.
Monitoring the key metrics to evaluate performance of the team and conduct regular reviews against defined metrics
Engaging with team to discuss issues/ challenges faced and provide solutions to address/ resolve them
Conducting periodic reviews with Agents to drive business numbers and address any concerns which may be hampering business.
Tapping into the existing network of Agents to generate maximum business for the Vistaar locations
Engaging with the cross functional teams such as Underwriting, Operations and Finance to ensure seamless execution of work.
Identify system/ process improvement required to support team in smooth delivery of their responsibilities
Participate in selection process to identify the right talent at senior positions for own team
Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of the team
Provide development opportunities for team members to enhance sales capabilities and functional knowledge
In-depth understanding of the Health Insurance industry
Minimum qualification required: Graduation in any field and MBA preferred
Minimum 10+ years of experience, with a significant number of years in Health insurance
