SEC Reporting Solutions Analyst

 

The SEC Reporting Solutions Analyst supports the SEC Reporting and Investment Accounting Reporting teams by determining the reporting needs of the team and utilizes functionality within the Workiva platforms, SAP General Ledger, Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) and /or SAP Financial Asset Management (FAM) tools to meet those needs, including but not limited to US GAAP (SEC), US Statutory and ESG external reporting. Reviews current processes and offers recommendations for improvements through the utilization of existing functionality within the platforms. Works to ensure the team is fully leveraging the functionality within the Workiva tool and other tools, as deemed appropriate. The Solutions Analyst works to expand the usage of Workiva to be a full data management tool across the organization by listening to the needs of business partners and determining existing functionality within the Workiva system to meet those needs. Additionally, the Solutions Analyst will work actively with the teams to support the identification and execution of continuous improvement opportunities with a focus on technology. The Solutions Analyst will function as the primary team liaison with partners in both information systems Global Investments and other business partners, as deemed appropriate.

 

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Supports the SEC Reporting and Investment Accounting Reporting team by fully leveraging the functionality within the Workiva platform and other technology available.
  • Demonstrates proactive collaboration and feedback to the team on improvements or efficiencies gained through existing functionality within Workiva.
  • Leads the implementation of Data (centralized repository) for SEC reporting and ESG reporting.
  • Works cross-functionally to expand the usage of Workiva across the organization.
  • Delivers coaching and training to users of Workiva and SAP FAM.
  • Reviews processes and procedures to streamline activities and enhance productivity and quality; coordinates the workflow of the business unit and ensures that workflow processes facilitate effective and efficient use of corporate resources.
  • Proactive involvement with team members on various CI initiatives, including but not limited to value stream mapping, root cause problem solving, and Gemba walks, with a specific focus to identify areas where leveraging existing technology can be improved.
  • Functions as the team’s primary contact with technology partners (both internal and external).
  • Primary team member responsible for actively managing and driving effective and efficient Jira ticket prioritization and management.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

 

 

Education & Experience Required

 

  • Minimum Required Bachelor’s Degree IT, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum Required Three years of professional job-related experience in software as a solution (SAAS) supporting a Financial team, in IT or accounting, or other related experience

 

 

Education & Experience Preferred

 

  • Preferred Working knowledge of Workiva
  • Preferred Experience working directly with Aladdin, SAP general ledger, Business Planning and Consolidations (BPC), SAP Financial Asset Management (FAM), or other investment accounting system

 

 

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
